Volunteering opportunities
Are you interested in using your legal skills to make a difference in your community? Our legal volunteering program, provides Griffith University Law Students with the opportunities to volunteer through our local legal services. We understand how difficult it is to find volunteering initiatives as a university student that fit in with your busy schedule, so we aim to make this process as easy as possible through providing our students with all necessary information.

HUB seeks the assistance of law students to attend the Centre for four hours in either the morning or afternoon, once per week (Monday to Friday). Students will assist the Centre by being the first point of contact, responding to phone and in-person enquiries, completing intake assessments, and undertaking other support tasks as required.
Overall supervision will be provided by the centre’s Principal Lawyer. Students are required to attend an induction onsite at HUB. Volunteers are asked to commit to one semester of volunteering, after which time students may submit an expression of interest to continue. All students must be able to commit to the role until mid-June 2024. Flexibility around exams can be accommodated with negotiation.
